Don't be alarmed!

I know, you clicked the new tab at the top of my page and now you're all like "what the hell, Kari?!" As promised a few posts ago, I don't intend to turn into a "book blog". My intention with The Kari Diaries (TKD) is just to blog about life-type things. It just so happens that I've been reading incessantly in my life as of late. No biggie. But I figured: Why not start a list of books I've read/reviewed this year as a sort of index for anyone who is interested or stumbles upon TKD for bookish reasons? So if you are that person, welcome. Born from a random, lonely tweet, the To Fill Up and Live (TFUAL) is a book club, whose title inspired by a quote I love: "She reads books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live." Because isn't that how books should make you feel? I love reading and more than that, I love talking about what I'm reading. In my reviews, I'm limited to what I say because I don't want to spoil anything for others (Say no to spoilers!). This book club gives me the opportunity to shat with you all about my favorite parts, characters and quotes of a novel in detail. We plan to navigate multiple genres, reading novels that open us up to something new or just remind us of the things we love.
